This role is likely to appeal to a Team Leader or Team Coordinator that is looking to further their career or a Shift Manager that wants a new challenge. The Production Section Head / Shift Manager will be responsible for leading the shift teams to achieve the set performance and quality goals. You will deliver the weekly production plan through driving line performance utilising the full Production, Quality and Maintenance resource available. You will allocate labour to ensure that the production cells run at agreed levels and drive corrective and preventative actions when needed. You will work with the production manager to agree, monitor, and achieve performance levels and targets. The Section Head will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement programmes and will support the introduction of new products, equipment and processes and will ensure staff are trained and developed to the company requirements. The ideal candidate will come from a Pharmaceutical background or will have knowledge of working within a highly regulated FMCG industry, you will have a science or engineering based qualification preferable to Graduate level. You must have, and be able to give examples of, excellent man management skills and should have lean manufacturing or Six-Sigma training.
